Giusti Winemakers Dinner

Join us on December 6th for a five-course dinner showcasing five wines from the Giusti winery. Chef Benjamin Mills has tasted the wines and developed a delicious Italian menu that brings in the traditional flavours of Italy with local ingredients. Come down for 6:30pm to meet Winemaker Joe Giusti and enjoy a glass of prosecco during a cocktail style reception with dinner starting at 7:00pm.

This journey started with the purchase of two-hectare property where Giusti Wine was to be established. The Italian Giusti Wine is located in beautiful Asolo, Veneto, Italy. From the first vineyard planted in 2002 the winery has grown very rapidly, today it includes an area of approximative 75 hectares producing award winning prosecco, white and red wines. The winery is owned by Joe Giusti an Italian-Canadian who immigrated to Canada in 1973 and now splits his time between Calgary and the winery in Italy.

Meet & Greet Bites: squid ink arancini, baccala, stuffed fried olives, baby octopus skewers
1st Course: cured swordfish, fresno chili, black currant, pine nuts, dashi
2nd Course: braised lamb gnocchi, tomato fresca, sicilian olives, gorgonzola
3rd Course: pheasant breast, squab tortalloni, truffle puree, foie demi glaze, rosemary
4th Course: bison duo of short rib and tenderloin, apple, parsnip, soft polenta, orange gremolata
Dessert: small bites inspired by Venezia, including italian donuts, raisin and pine nut cookies, chocolate salami, orange almond cake, caramelized chocolate
